We had a great Field of Faith this year. Due to weather conditions we had to move it into the Redmond High School Auditorium. There were some great testimonies of some of our local athletes. We had some amazing worship time. Here are a few pictures of the event.
Bill Buckingham, Worship Leader for FCA Fields of Faith, FCA Dinner/Auction Benefit
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Bill Buckingham spent his childhood in a little farming community in Central Washington where his family owns and operates cattle ranch. At an early age, he developed a love for both sports and music as his parents are both coaches and very musical. Bill plays many sports, but his main love has always been basketball. He is also an avid golfer, and likes to spend as much free time on the course as possible during the summer months. He was an active member of FCA in Chelan, WA while attending Chelan High School, and eventually went on to play basketball at Wenatchee Valley College. After a couple years at WVC, Bill felt God calling him to pursue a life of music, so he transferred to Washington State University where he earned degrees in operations management and music performance.
Musically, Bill was exposed early on to country, gospel, and classic rock by his parents, and developed a taste for incredibly diverse styles of music that have influenced his performance and writing greatly. Over the years, he has shared the stage with many incredible artists, and has performed at diverse venues and events all over the northwest. His journeys initially lead him to Moscow, ID, where he met his beautiful wife Abbie and began the duo Bill & Abbie. He was also the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the classic rock/blues band Crossover as well as a worship leader at Real Life on the Palouse for many years.
Bill now lives in Bend, OR with Abbie and their “fur-baby” Josie. He serves as the Creative Arts Director at Compass Church as well as the Worship Leader for The Collective - Bend.
